President Maia Sandu is taking part in the 2023 Bucha Summit in Ukraine at the invitation of her Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, IPN reports.
At the beginning of April 2022, immediately after the Russian troops withdrew from Bucha town that is situated close to Kyiv, the Ukrainian officials and the media told about the atrocities committed by the occupation troops in this town. The mayor of Bucha Anatolii Fedoruk said that about 300 people were buried in a mass grave they found, while tens of bodies remained lying on the street.
The 2023 Bucha Summit is held in a year of those events.
