President Maia Sandu took cognizance of the resignation tendered by Natalia Gavrilița from the post of Prime Minister. She said that in accordance with the legal provisions, she will have consultations with the parliamentary groups and will later designate a candidate for premiership, IPN reports.
“I took notice of the resignation tendered by Missis Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița. I thank her a lot for the sacrifice and enormous efforts made to manage the country during a period with so many crises. Despite unprecedented challenges, the country was governed responsibly, with a lot of attention and devoted work. We have stability, peace and development there where others wanted war and failure,” noted President Sandu.
After holding office for a year and a half, Natalia Gavrilița vacated the post of Prime Minister on Friday without specifying the reasons for her decision.
