The National Movement for People, which consists of several political parties, stages a new protest in Chisinau, this time in front of the Parliament Building. According to the organizers, the event is held to support the Shor Party’s bill that stipulates the mechanism for paying citizens’ bills for the three winter months, IPN reports.
The organizers said that a part of the participants were prevented from reaching the capital city, while the General Police Inspectorate said that 24 protesters, 15 of whom are minors who weren’t accompanied, were taken to the Inspectorate for being identified. The trolleybuses running on Ștefan cel Mare Blvd were diverted onto adjoining streets.
The General Police Inspectorate noted that one of the 24 demonstrators who were escorted to the Inspectorate is wanted. The police detained a 37-year-old man who had a knife on him. “The police call on the participants in today’s rally to behave appropriately. We remind the organizers that they are responsible for the actions of the participants and for the way in which the event takes place,” said the Inspectorate.
