A number of people gathered together on Dacia Boulevard in the capital city, near the City Gates, to protest against the visit by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who arrived in Moldova today. Because the demonstrators intentionally blocked the boulevard, the organizers of the protest were escorted to the police station, IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate said that Dacia Boulevard was intentionally blocked, abusively ignoring the Chisinau City Hall’s decision and the Police’s requirements not to bar the roadway. For this reason, the organizers were taken to the police station for documentation. The persons are members of “Shor” organization and came mainly from ATU Gagauzia.
