The leader of Our Party Renato Usatyi denied the rumors that he has recently met with the former leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc. Moreover, according to Usatyi, Plahotniuc is now in Northern Cyprus – a republic that is recognized only by Turkey, IPN reports.
The mayor of Bălți Renato Usatyi said that during the last two weeks he had been on unpaid leave and traveled to a number of states, including the United Arab Emirates. He denied having met with Vlad Plahotniuc in the period.
“Plahotniuc is now in Northern Cyprus and the persons who were under Dodon’s subordination should take note. I refer to the Ministry of Home Affairs, which refused to recognize the fact that Plahotniuc is in Istanbul. Only the Prosecutor General’s Office took the information I presented into account and received confirmation from the authorities in Turkey,” Renato Usatyi stated in the talk show “Fourth Power” on N4 TV channel.
According to Renato Usatyi, the Moldovan authorities are mimicking the fight against the schemers of corruption planned by Vlad Plahotniuc.
“All Plahotniuc’s business are fine. All the commercial areas from near the Government Building and the Presidential Place, which belong to him, continue to yield profit and this is serious for the Republic of Moldova. This way the Sandu Government and also the Dodon Government showed inability to fight Plahotniuc,” stated Renato Usatyi.
Moreover, he said Vlad Plahontiuc continues to influence the political processes in the Republic of Moldova. This happens through the agency of the PSRM-Shor parliamentary majority.
“Plahotniuc now started to become involved in the political life in the Republic of Moldova. We have the Dodon-Shor coalition in Parliament that was blessed by Plahotniuc,” noted Renato Usatyi.
He confessed that while in the United Arab Emirates, he was immunized against COVID-19 with the Russian vaccine Sputnik V.
