The Government of Romania will provide the first tranche of the €100 million agreement with the Republic of Moldova. “The money will go to purchase school minibuses and to make investments in water supply works in a number of localities of the Republic of Moldova,” Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu stated before the meeting of the Government in Bucharest, IPN reports.
It goes to a draft decision by the Romanian Government on the provision of financing for the project “Development of school transport in general educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova”. Financing will also be offered for local development projects, such as water supply and sewerage, within the program “European Village – public and infrastructure works”.
All the projects are proposed based on the Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on the implementation of the technical and financial assistance program based on the €100 million in grant funding that will be provided by Romania to the Republic of Moldova.
