Officers of the Security and Intelligence Service and of the National Anticorruption Center are carrying out searches at the Supreme Court of Justice. These concern the Court’s acting president Tamara Chișca-Doneva, who is investigated for unjust enrichment.
Searches are also performed at the judge’s home.
The Superior Council of Magistracy granted acting prosecutor general Dumitru Robu’s request to allow carrying out searches in this case.
Contacted by IPN for details, spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General’s Office Mariana Cherpec didn’t deny and also didn’t confirm the reports about the searches involving the acting president of the Supreme Court of Justice. She said more detailed information will be provided later.
