Seventy study laboratories have been outfitted with modern equipment and state-of-the-art information technologies, the Ministry of Education and Research has announced. Thus, almost 48,000 students and over 2,300 teachers of seven universities and six teacher training colleges will have better conditions in the academic environment, IPN reports.
The investments were made within the World Bank-funded Moldova Higher Education Project for 2020-2025. The total value of the project exceeds €35 million.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the institutions benefited from the modernization of infrastructure and the programs of study, according to the labor market needs.
Also, more than 300 qualification standards for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs in 18 fields were developed and the registers of diplomas issued by higher education institutions in 1992-2008 were digitized.
