The aim is to check whether there are indeed several families living in one household, because in that case they could all benefit from compensation. The purpose of the social inquiry is to prevent possible abuse.
In the second case, compensation claimants who are unable to provide an IDNP code because they have a provisional identity card.
The special commission is set up by order of the minister and must include the social worker, a representative of civil society and a representative of the local public authorities.
The commission goes to the applicant’s home to verify the information provided in the application submitted on the platform compensatii.gov.md, according to predetermined criteria.
The ministry also notes that this procedure was also applied in the previous cold season. Thus, the officials urge citizens who are in the two mentioned situations to cooperate with the teams conducting the social surveys.
