The designated Prime Minister, Alexandru Munteanu, began today the rounds of consultations with the parliamentary factions in order to form the new Government. The meetings are taking place at the Parliament, according to the established schedule, reports IPN.
The initial discussions were set to begin at 08:00 AM with representatives of the “Democratia Acasa” Party Faction, followed by a meeting with the “Partidul Nostru” Political Party at 09:00 AM. At 10:00 AM, the designated prime minister will consult with the deputies from the Alternativa Bloc and from 11:00 AM, a meeting with the Communist Party Faction is scheduled.
The series of consultations continues at 1:00 PM with the deputies from the Socialist Party, and the last discussion of the day will take place at 2:00 PM with the Faction of the Action and Solidarity Party, which also proposed Alexandru Munteanu for the position of Prime Minister.
On Wednesday, the prime minister-designate presented the list of cabinet members and the government program. Munteanu’s proposed team is expected in Parliament on Friday, where it will seek a vote of confidence for the government’s investiture.
