The price of gasoline exceeds 22 lei per liter, according to the new rates set for Tuesday by the National Agency for Energy Regulation. Gasoline with an octane rating of 95 will cost 22.02 lei, 10 bani more expensive than on Monday, January 5, reports IPN.
Standard diesel is also getting more expensive and will be sold at the pump at a maximum price of 18.75 lei per liter, 5 cents more than on Monday.
After a constant decrease in fuel prices for a month before New Year’s Eve, the cost of gasoline and diesel began to rise immediately after the holidays.
ANRE announced on January 2nd that in the first two weeks of the new year, fuel prices set daily by the agency will be influenced by new administrative factors, which came into effect on January 1st – the application of new excise values, the increase in the contribution for energy efficiency and the adjustment of the specific commercial margin. After including these components in prices, ANRE estimates a partial stabilization of rates.
