A truck driver lost his life in a road accident that occurred on Saturday morning in the Straseni district, near the village of Panasesti, on the R-1 route, according to IPN.
According to the General Inspectorate of Police, a 38-year-old driver, in an attempt to avoid hitting a deer, lost control of the steering wheel and entered the wrong lane, where the vehicle collided violently with a truck.
The driver of the truck, a 72-year-old man, died on impact.
In this case, a criminal proceeding was initiated. The breathalyzer test showed that the driver, who is preliminarily found guilty of causing the accident, had not consumed alcohol.
