Meteorologists have issued a code yellow warning of atmospheric instability for several regions of Moldova. According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, short-lasting showers, accompanied by thunderstorms, thunderstorms and hail will fall in the afternoon and evening of Thursday, IPN reports.
The warning is valid between 15:00 and 23:00. During this period, heavy rainfall of up to 15-20 liters per square meter is expected over most of the country. Wind gusts could reach speeds of up to 18 meters per second during thunderstorms.
The only areas not affected by the weather warning are the southeastern districts of the country – Anenii Noi, Causeni, Stefan Voda, Basarabeasca and the area near Tiraspol.
The authorities advise people to avoid using personal transportation during periods of increased risk of weather instability and to opt for public transport. Drivers are urged not to park on the side of the road, on pavements or under dry or old trees to prevent accidents and to allow specialized services to intervene if necessary.

According to forecasts, the temperature will be between 9 and 14 degrees Celsius at night and between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius during the day on Friday. However, the weather will remain unsettled, with possible brief light showers and isolated thunderstorms.
The State Hydrometeorological Service advises the population to follow the updated forecasts and to take precautionary measures during dangerous weather events.
