A 27-year-old man suspected of placing narcotic substances in hiding places for drug users was caught red-handed by officers of the Division for Combating Organized Crime of the National Investigation Inspectorate, in cooperation with prosecutors and police officers of Botanica district, IPN reports.
The seized drugs were estimated at 170,000 lei. At the time of his arrest, the man had 100 grams of hashish and adhesive tape for packaging drugs on him. During the search at the suspect’s house, 15 packages with PVP, 24 packages with hashish and zip-lock bags were found.
The suspect tried to get rid of a bag full with drugs by throwing it out from the eighth floor. The bag remained hanging on a tree and was recovered by a crew of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations. A number of 60 stamps with LSD – a dangerous hallucinogenic drug – were found inside it.
The man was arrested for 72 hours and, according to the law, faces a jail term of 7 to 15 years.
