Zimbru Chisinau and Petrocub Hancesti have qualified for the final of the Moldovan Football Cup. The team from the capital city eliminated the defending champion Sheriff Tiraspol with the overall score of 2-1, IPN reports.
After winning 1–0 at home, Zimbru drew 1–1 away. The guests opened the scoring in the 25th minute through Emanuel Alaribe and Sheriff equalized six minutes later through Joao Paolo.
In the other semifinal, Petrocub defeated CSF Balti 1-0 away, after winning 5-1 at home. The final of Moldova’s Cup will take place on May 25 at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau.
