The Republic of Moldova has got 1,727 new cases of COVID-19 and 20 new cases of death from the virus. The number of infections now totals 112,307, while the death toll stands at 2,363, IPN reports.
A doctor aged 69 died today. Iurii Ovanesov until this March worked as the head of the Intensive Care Department of the Hâncești District Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital in Hâncești on November 28. This is the 57th death from COVID-19 among healthcare workers so far.
As many as 3,929 tests were done today and 3,556 of them were primary ones.
A number of 3,584 persons with COVID-19 are now hospitalized. Of them, 302 are in a serious state and 52 of these were put on a ventilator. 7 080 persons with mild forms of COVID-19 are receiving treatment at home, while 27,450 are under supervision at home.
