The electricity consumption on the right bank of the Nistru River on Sunday, February 16, was 13,658,000 kWh. More than half of the demand was satisfied with imports of power. According to Moldelectrica, the needs were fully met based on commercial contracts and no emergency supply contracts were needed, IPN reports.

The state-owned enterprise Moldelectrica calls on consumers to save electricity, especially during peak hours — 09:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. and 06:00 p.m.- 11:00 p.m.
«The adoption of saving measures helps to avoid overloading high-voltage power lines and reduce electricity bills,» reads a press release from the enterprise.
