Social insurance benefits and state social allowances will be indexed by 15% as of April 1. The minimum old-age pension will be 2,620.62 lei, IPN reports.
In a bill that was proposed for consultation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection makes reference to data of the National House of Social Insurance, noting that the own incomes of the state social insurance budget in 2022 rose by 115.0% on 2021.
Under the bill, the indexation coefficient will be applied only to the part of the pension that does not exceed the average official monthly salary for 2023, which is 11,700 lei.
Another bill provides that after the indexation, the minimum guaranteed monthly income will be 1,568 lei for a grownup and 1,631 lei for a child.
