For the first time in Moldova, an international mobile team of specialists is training first-level evaluators and managers of the database of the Operational Capability Concept (OCC), IPN reports. According to colonel Sorin Bacalu, acting head of the Training and Doctrines Division, 25 Moldovan militaries, plus five international militaries, are being certified as NATO OCC evaluators of the first level at the National Army’s military training basis during June 26-30. This way, they will have the right to assess national and international subunits for the purpose of ensuring interoperability with the partner states. At the end of the training, five Moldovan officials will be certified as OCC database managers. The Operational Concept Capability is an instrument of cooperation within the NATO Partnership for Peace whose goal is to implement the Western standards in the training and assessment of declared units. The National Army joined the OCC in 2007.
