Nicolae Roșca is the new chairperson of the Constitutional Court. He was elected by secret ballot today after the three-year term of his predecessor, Domnica Manole, expired on April 23, the Court announced in a press release.
Nicolae Roșca was appointed to the Constitutional Court by Government decision on August 15, 2019.
Nicolae Roșca is a doctor of law and university professor, formerly head of the Private Law Department at the Moldova State University. As a legal scholar, he authored or co-authored over 75 didactic and scientific publications, including textbooks, monographs and legal commentaries.
