A person died, while another three people suffered injuries when two motor vehicles, one of which had been stolen, collided head-on. The accident happened close to Chetrosu village of Drochia district, IPN reports.
It was preliminarily determined that a 30-year-old driver from Chetrosu, having a man aged 25 as a passenger, saw a car coming in a chaotic way from the opposite direction. To avoid the impact, the man from Chetrosu turned suddenly to the left, according to the movement direction. At the same moment, the driver of the other vehicle turned the car towards the direction from which the other car was coming and the vehicles collided head-on.
The General Police Inspectorate said the passenger from the vehicle that was moving chaotically, a man aged 46, died on the spot. The 38-year-old driver from Soroca and the two men from the other car were rushed to the hospital.
It was later established that the car driven by the man from Soroca was stolen yesterday from the precincts of a limited liability company based in Nicoreni village of Drochia district.
