The students of the eighth and ninth grades from 32 districts and from the municipalities of Balti and Chisinau November 27 and 28 will take written tests to have their competences in Romanian language and literature and in mathematics assessed, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Education.
Students from 486 national educational institutions participate in the thematic testing announced by the Ministry. The institutions involved had the opportunity to choose one of the two subjects (Romanian language and literature or mathematics) or both. They also decided whether the eighth grade or ninth grade or both should participate in the testing.
The test papers will be graded by district/municipal assessment commissions and the results of this exercise will be sent to the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation for analyzing the level of application of the curriculum in the class on particular content segments, said the Agency’s director Lilia Ivanov.
