The additional Baccalaureate session this year involved 3,478 candidates and 24% of them passed the exams. This way, the number of candidates who passed the national Baccalaurean exams this year stands at 13,490, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Education.
The national Baccalaurean exams 2023 were sat by 18,396 candidates and most of these were high school students. Seven candidates were sent off for cheating, as opposed to 16 candidates during last year’s session.
The total exam pass rate in the 2023 session is 73.31%.
For he graduates of theoretical lyceums, the average grade in the national Baccalaurean exams is 7.26, as against 7.25 last year.
