36,200 euros and 13 boxes with campaign leaflets, which contain messages from a political bloc and which portray the leader of a criminal organization, were found by the police in the car of an activist.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the activist, 26, was pulled over based on a tip. The driver was accompanied by a passenger, who was the one who handed over the entire sum of 36,200 euros, in 50-euro bills. The origin of the money could not be explained.
Both the driver and his passenger were taken to the Botanica Police Inspectorate. The car with the campaign materials and the cash were seized and sealed for safekeeping until a legal decision is made.
