JSC Energocom and JSC Moldovagaz signed a contract for the sale and purchase of natural gas to satisfy the needs of consumers on the right bank of the Nistru in January-April 2024, IPN reports.
Under the contract, an estimated gas volume of 451 million cubic meters will be delivered in the period at the price of €550 per thousand cubic meters. According to Energocom, later the price could be lowered.
The contract signed by the two companies at the end of June 2023 stipulated that a total volume of about 480 million cubic meters of gas will be supplied by the end of last year, at a preliminary weighted average price of about US$600 per thousand cubic meters.
Also, Energocom signed a contract for the sale and purchase of electricity with universal service providers, of last resort, and system operators, for January-December 2024. The electricity delivered by JSC Energocom will be purchased mainly from MGRES (Kuchurgan Power Plant) at the price of US$66/MWh, from CHPs and RES producers, energy producers operating on the European market and, if it is necessary to cover the electricity deficit, from the Romanian operator OPCOM.
