The Coalition for Unity and Wellbeing (CUB) will put forward the head of the party’s youth organization CUB Junior Ion Bulgac for the post of mayor general of the municipality of Chisinau, the party’s chairman Igor Munteanu announced in a press briefing on June 25, IPN reports.
Igor Munteanu said the CUB has the best youth policy and welcomes the young people into the team. “The Coalition for Unity and Wellbeing is the coalition of free citizens. You will soon hear our voices in support of entrepreneurial freedom, local development without artificial hindrances and in support of a firm course to Europeanization and to bringing Moldova to political and economic normality,” he stated.
According to the party’s leader, the Coalition for Unity and Wellbeing considers that this candidate should fight against the nomenklatura that does not obey the public interest. “Mister Ion Bulgac is our candidate and we congratulate him on this,” said Igor Munteanu.
“We are those who look with confidence into the future and the future of the Republic of Moldova means Romania, the European Union and NATO, means development, welfare, progress and unity. We today launch an offer for a generation that for 30 years has waited for something. It is a generation that never had its own candidate, a generation that was always neglected as it “does not vote”. We today launch a paradigm change and you will see that this generation no longer leaves, but will go and vote,” stated Ion Bulgac.
Ion Bulgac has a Bachelor of Law from the Moldova State University. He is the representative of the young generation of entrepreneurs. Between 2019 and 2022, Ion Bulgac managed the National Association for Academic Debates. In the NGO sector, he carried out legal and civilian education activities for young people, founding a number of debate platforms, it is said on the official website of CUB.
