The Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Ion Chicu tendered the Government’s resignation in a move to trigger the process of calling snap parliamentary elections. The announcement was made by Premier Chicu in a press briefing on December 23 alongside incumbent President Igor Dodon and Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grechanyi.
