Moldova’s Denis Vieru has won the 2022 Judo Grand Slam Antalya. The 26-year-old scored five victories in the 66 kg category, IPN reports.
Vieru defeated Azerbaijan’s Yashar Najafov, Switzerland’s Freddy Waizenegger, Israel’s Tal Flicker, Uzbekistan’s Sardor Nurillaev and Brazil’s Willian Lima.
This is Vieru’s fourth Grand Slam in his career, in addition to those won in Paris (2019), Baku (2019), and Abu Dhabi (2021).
