Ex-minister of finance Dumitru Budianschi will serve as chairman of the Administration Board of the National Commission for Financial Markets (NCFM). Such a decision was taken by Parliament on Friday, IPN reports.
The post fell vacant after Cornelia Cozlovschi tendered her resignation, invoking personal reasons.
Dumitru Budianschi graduated from the Moldova State University and the Academy of Economic Studies. He is a master of economic sciences, public finances and taxation. Before being named minister of finance in August 2021, he served as an MP. He earlier worked as program director at the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup”, in the field of consultancy and expertise for different national and foreign institutions, including the EBRD, the World Bank and UNDP.
Under the legislation, the Administration Board of the NCFM is a collegial body headed by a chairperson and two deputy chairpersons. These are named by the legislative body for a five-year term at the suggestion of the Speaker.
