SA “Energocom”, based on the EFET (European Federation of Energy Traders) framework contract, will buy 5 million cubic meters of natural gas, while SA “Moldovagaz” will ensure the shipping and sale of this amount to “Energocom”. The purchase price will be US$1,882.78 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas. The storage of the purchased natural gas will be ensured by SRL “Moldovatransgaz”, as the Commission for Exceptional Situations decided on Thursday, IPN reports.
Given the high volatility of the regional natural gas market, SA “Energocom” will be able to sell and buy natural gas by direct negotiations or through stock exchanges of countries that form part of the Energy Community at the most advantageous prices. A sum of 200 million lei will be allocated from the state budget to increase the share capital of SA “Energocom”.
Also, in order to ensure the necessary amounts of crude oil for the cold period of the year, the Commission for Exceptional Situations decided that SA “Termoelectrica” will purchase 190,000 tonnes of crude oil by direct negotiations after the company’s board gives its consent. The purchase will be exempted from VAT, excite and customs duties until May 31, 2023. The purchased crude oil will be transported through the agency of Moldova’s Railways.
The Forestry Agency “Moldsilva” will ensure the sale of stored and/or harvested firewood exclusively to household users, public entities and accredited social service providers that will notify the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the bought volumes within three days of the acquisition.
