Ion Ștefăniță was discharged from the post of acting director of the Agency for Monument Inspection and Restoration. On his Facebook page, he wrote that he received a message from the Ministry of Culture, by which he was asked to go to the Human Resources Service of the Ministry to familiarize himself with the issued order.
“After serving as acting head for 12 years, I have to quit as manager of the Agency for Monument Inspection and Restoration tomorrow. I wish success to the next manager general of the Agency in doing as many good things as possible for culture, for the cultural-historical heritage of the Republic of Moldova,” wrote Ion Ștefăniță.
Contacted by IPN for details, Ioana Isac, press officer of the Ministry of Culture, confirmed that Minister Sergiu Prodan signed the order to fire Ion Ștefăniță. Other relevant details will be provided when Ion Ștefănițăva familiarizes himself with the order.
