Moldovan wrestler Mariana Draguțan clinched the silver medal at the European Championships in Bucharest. She won against Hungary’s Roza Szenttamasi and Poland’s Roksana Zasina, but in the final of the 55 kg weight category lost to Andreea Beatrice Ana of Romania, IPN reports.
Another Moldovan wrestler, Irina Rîngaci, failed to qualify for the final. In the semifinals, she was defeated by Katerina Zelenyh who represented Romania. Rîngaci will fight for the bronze medal in the 65 kg weight category.
Previously, Greco-Roman wrestlers Artiom Deleanu (55 kg) and Victor Ciobanu (60 kg) won gold and silver medals respectively at the European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest.
