MFAEI advises against all travel to Niger

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration is advising Moldovan citizens to avoid any travel to Niger, and those who are already in Niger to carefully evaluate the need to continue staying there. The advisory is issued in connection with the closure of Nigerien airspace and the political instability caused by the coup d’état in Niger, accompanied by multiple protests and social uprisings. In case of emergencies, Moldavan citizens are encouraged to contact the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Kingdom of Spain on the website https://spania.mfa.gov.md, by e-mail: madrid@mfa.gov.md or by phone +34 664 598 545, 24/7. Moldovan citizens can also contact the MFAEI Call Center at the following phone numbers: 0 80 090 990 – toll-free from a landline across Moldova; +373 22 23 20 02 – for calls from mobile phones or from abroad, or by e-mail: call.center@mfa.gov.md.
