The foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova will continue to strengthen bilateral and multilateral partnerships in the coming years in order to promote national interests. The statement was made on Saturday by Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, after the new government was sworn in, IPN reports.
“We will work to ensure that the Republic of Moldova has as many friends as possible and that its economy benefits from the solid partnerships built by our diplomats. We will work to bring the Republic of Moldova closer to the great European family,” Mihai Popsoi emphasized.
The head of diplomacy in Chisinau said that he would assume his mandate with honor and responsibility, continuing with the same dedication with which he had worked over the past two years in Dorin Recean’s government.
“During this period, we have strengthened external partnerships, taken important steps in bringing the Republic of Moldova closer to the European Union, and stood by our citizens everywhere,” the official added.
In his new term, Mihai Popsoi says he will continue to strongly support the country’s European path, modernize diplomacy, and attract the international support necessary for the development and security of the Republic of Moldova.
