The mayor of Orhei municipality, Tatiana Cociu, has announced her resignation. She justified her decision by the “pressures coming from the central authorities and the systematic obstruction of every project”, reports IPN.
“The presidential and parliamentary elections of the country were stolen. This power, achieved through deception, has not allowed us and will not allow us to develop the city. They have embezzled the funds that we planned to direct towards supporting pensioners and budget workers, for the construction of infrastructure”, asserts Tatiana Cociu.
Tatiana Cociu, a candidate from the Party of Alternative and Salvation Force of Moldova, won the elections for the Orhei Mayor’s office in November 2023, obtaining approximately 57.6% of the votes in the first round.
