Two flying objects, observed this night in the Orhei and Calarasi districts

Update: The Ministry of Defense does not confirm the information regarding the unauthorized overflight of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova. The institution specifies that, in the time interval indicated in the information published by the General Inspectorate of Police, no unauthorized overflights were recorded.

Initial news: Two flying devices similar to drones were spotted and reported to the police by locals from the villages of Berezlogi, Orhei district, and Dereneu, Calarasi district. The law enforcement officers checked the indicated areas, but found no fragments, impact traces or fires that could confirm a crash or ground explosion, reports IPN.

According to the General Inspectorate of Police, around 01:50 AM, the Orhei Police were alerted by a resident of Berezlogi, who said he had observed a flying object similar to a drone in the sky. Approximately ten minutes later, a resident of Dereneu reported a strong light in the sky to the Calarasi Police, followed by an explosion.

Following the reports, the police intervened and checked the indicated areas, including the lands outside the two localities. As a result of the actions taken, no drone fragments, impact traces, or fires were detected.

The police recommend people not to approach or touch unknown objects or fragments and to immediately notify the 112 Service if they observe such objects.
