Products manufactured in Moldova are competitive, and the role of the state is to support companies that invest, produce, and create jobs to develop more easily. The statement belongs to Prime Minister Vasile Tofan and was made during a working visit to the Taraclia district and the Gagauzia Autonomous Territorial Unit, where the head of the executive met with representatives of the business environment, reports IPN.
In discussions with entrepreneurs from UTA Gagauzia, the necessary conditions for the development of enterprises and increasing their competitiveness were addressed. Business people talked about fiscal policy, taxes, facilitating exports, and reducing bureaucratic barriers.
In Taraclia, the Prime Minister visited the company “Milina”, specialized in the production of bread and bakery products. The company’s representatives pointed out issues related to export procedures. According to them, the repeated certification of the same batch of goods can delay the export of products by 5 to 14 days.
The Prime Minister also visited the “Bas Steel Profile” factory in Taraclia, where approximately 60% of the production is exported. In this context, the need to expand quotas that would allow companies to export more to the European Union market was mentioned.
In Ceadar-Lunga, Vasile Tofan visited the “Banzai” company, which produces and packages snacks sold on the domestic market and abroad. The company’s exports to the European Union are increasing, with Romania being the main external market.
In context, the prime minister reiterated that when Moldovan companies win new markets and increase their exports, the whole country benefits.
