28 Moldovan soldiers have traveled today to Bucharest, where, throughout the week, they will participate in rehearsals for the military parade on Romania’s National Day, marked on December 1st. The contingent will march in the Triumphal Arch Square, alongside Romanian soldiers and foreign detachments attending the event, reports IPN.
According to the Minister of Defense, the detachment of the Republic of Moldova traditionally includes 28 soldiers from the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion “Blue Helmets” and from the flag-bearing group of the Honor Guard. Leading the contingent is Major Lieutenant Boris Răileanu, who recently returned from the Eufor Althea peacekeeping mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Republic of Moldova has been participating annually since 2014 in the military parade on the occasion of Romania’s National Day.
