A red alert was issued in the municipality of Chisinau owing to the epidemiological situation caused by COVID-19. This means that over 250 cases per 100,000 people were recorded the last seven days, IPN reports.
The data of the National Public Health Agency show an incidence rate of 350 cases per 100,000 people in the municipality of Chisinau.
Another 19 administrative units are on orange alert with an incidence rate of 108 to 216 cases per 100,000 people.
In 11 administrative units, including the Transnistrian region, the incidence is of 51 to 94 cases per 100,000 people and these are on yellow alert.
Only five administrative units are on green alert. The incidence in the districts of Drochia, Florești, Ocnița, Șoldănești and Telenești is 35 to 48 cases per 100,000 people.
Over 520,000 cases of COVID-19 and more than 11,500 associated deaths have been recorded in Moldova so far.
