The European integration of Moldova will be the theme of a lecture on September 1 in schools across the country, announced Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun in a livestream on Friday.
“We are preparing for (the beginning of the new school year) on September 1. This week we had a meeting with interns from the Government, with our colleagues from the Directorate of General Education, to work on the teaching project for September 1. The selected theme concerns the European integration of the Republic of Moldova. By the middle of the month, we will propose certain activities that would be carried out on September 1 by educational institutions”, said the minister.
Minister Perciun emphasized that the theme was chosen given that Moldova obtained EU candidate status in 2022, in light of the high expectations that our country should meet for opening negotiations in the fall of this year, and also taking into account “our strategic vision that envisages the European vector as the only possible one for the Republic of Moldova, so that we can join this space of peace and well-being”.
