Petru Pelivan and Adil Osmanov reached the podium at the Upper Austria Judo Grand Prix. Both competed in the 73 kg weight category.
Osmanov reached the semifinals where he lost to Azerbaijan’s Rashid Mammadalyev, while Pelivan needed a qualifying match to get there. In their respective fights for the podium, Osmanv and Pelivan beat the Moroccan Hassan Doukkali and Serbian Filip Jovanovic.
Two other Moldovan judokas, Denis Vieru (66 kg) and Victor Sterpu (81 kg) reached the qualifiers, but failed to go further.
