The Transnistrian administration has prolonged the ongoing yellow security alert again. Under an order signed by the leader of the Transnistrian region, this was extended for 60 days, until May 19, 2023, IPN reports.
At the end of April, the Transnistrian administration first introduced a red alert after a series of explosions that occurred in the region. A month later, the alert level was downgraded to yellow and was then extended for several times.
Among the introduced measures are the requirement to register citizens when moving through checkpoints set up by Tiraspol and heightening of inspections of vehicles entering or leaving the region, and of those located in railway stations on the left side of the Nistru and in the municipality of Bender.
