Smoking on the balcony of homes (apartments and dorms) will be banned. Smoking will also not be permitted in common areas of dorms and dwellings where there are minors and pregnant women. This is provided in a bill that was endorsed by the Government, IPN reports.
The bill provides that the supervision of the use of tobacco products and exposure to tobacco smoke and aerosol from tobacco and related products will be the duty of the National Public Health Agency. Now this is the responsibility of the Ministry of Health.
This way, the Contravention Code will be supplemented with provisions concerning smoking in common areas of apartment buildings and dorms, on the balconies of homes and in places where there are minors and pregnant women.
