The appointed Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu is going to Parliament today, along with his governmental team, to present the activity program and ask for the vote of confidence. The legislative session is scheduled for 10:00 AM, reports IPN.
According to the Constitution, the designated Prime Minister requests the confidence vote of the Parliament on the government program and the entire list of cabinet ministers.
Thus, in plenary, Alexandru Munteanu will present his program titled “EU, peace, development”, which sets out the main lines of action for the future executive. The document provides for the completion of EU accession negotiations by 2028, thus preparing the country for full integration. Economically, the Government is banking on the exploitation of the Growth Plan, worth 1.9 billion euros, aimed at stimulating development and strengthening economic resilience.
The activity program and the list of cabinet ministers are debated in plenary, and the investiture of the new executive is carried out with the vote of the majority of elected deputies.
Based on the vote of confidence, the president of the country officially appoints the Government, and the new executive takes over its duties from the day of the oath-taking in front of the head of state.
