Transnistrians take 9 day winter vacation

Transnistrians will have a nine-day holiday from December 30 to January 7 inclusive, IPN reports.

The Transnistrian press reports that January 1, 2 and 3 are non-working days according to the Transnistrian labor code. There will also be no work on January 7, which marks Christmas in the old style.

In order to give employees an uninterrupted holiday, Monday, December 30, will be replaced by Saturday, December 28. And instead of January 6, they will work on January 11.

And December 31 is declared a day off, with no recuperation.

In the Republic of Moldova non-working public holidays are December 25 – the Nativity of Jesus Christ (Christmas New Year), January 1 – New Year, January 7 and 8 – the Nativity of Jesus Christ (Christmas Old Christmas).
