A child aged two was rushed to the hospital after this fell from the third floor of an apartment building situated in Buiucani district of Chisinau. His mother aged 28 left the child in the room and went to the kitchen for several minutes. The child mounted the windowsill and, leaning against the mosquito net, fell out, IPN reports.
The Chisinau Police Division said that a police patrol and a medical team travelled to the scene immediately. The child was taken to the hospital by the ambulance. An investigation is underway to determine all the circumstances of this case.
The police urge the parents to make sure the children do not have access to balconies and windows now that the weather is warm and the windows are left open. The kids should not be left alone in the room when this is aired and should be better taken to a walk in the period. It is recommended using the vertical window opening system.
