A 31-year-old woman was sentenced in absentia to seven years in jail for sexually exploiting two girls from her native village who were her childhood friend. She convinced the girls who were in a difficult financial situation to leave for Moscow to earn more money. One of the victims tried to kill herself after she was forced to prostitute herself. The procurer is wanted, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases said one of the victims lived with her concubine and looked after her sick parents and the day worked she did wasn’t enough to cover their costs. The other victim lived with her uncle and grandmother and had to maintain two children aged two and four.

The case was sent to court in 2017. The procurer was remanded in custody and was then paced under judicial control. She then ran away.
