A woman aged 33 died in the hospital after she was hit by a car on Viaduct in Chisinau last night, IPN reports.
The woman was jaywalking when she was struck by a car driven by a 22-year-old woman. As a result of the impact, the woman remained conscious for a period, but the efforts to save her failed.
A criminal case was started. An investigation is underway to determine if the driver could have avoided the impact and if she is to blame for the accident.
