The police officer involved in a traffic accident near the Chisinau Airport last Saturday, which caused the death of two people traveling on a motorcycle, was placed in custody for 30 days.
A spokesperson for the Prosecutor General’s Office told IPN the arrest was ordered by the Chisinau/Ciocana Court at the request of the Chisinau prosecutors.
The accident happened after a patrol car leaving the airport area hit a motorcycle. The motorcycle caught fire, with the driver and his passenger killed immediately.
