Students from educational institutions of Moldova will have the opportunity to study Spanish in depth. The Cabinet approved the signing of an agreement of cooperation in the field of bilingual Spanish education between the Ministry of Education and Research and the relevant ministry of Spain, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the agreement will provide the necessary legal framework in the organization of bilingual Spanish education in some of the secondary education institutions of the country. Under its provisions, the Spanish side will offer Moldova assistance in training Spanish language teachers, in establishing language teaching methods, in developing the curriculum for in-depth study of Spanish, but also of other subjects in Spanish, will provide access to digital resources and relevant teaching materials, and graduation diplomas on behalf of the Kingdom of Spain. Also, native teachers from Spain will be assigned to work and provide the necessary support for studying Spanish at the schools participating in the program.
Minister Dan Perciun said that the signing of this agreement, besides creating optimal conditions for in-depth study of Spanish and increasing access to new learning resources for students in Moldova, will equally favor educational exchanges between teachers from Moldova and Spain and will support the intercultural dialogue between young people from the two countries.
The Republic of Moldova has experience in implementing bilingual francophone classes in eight educational institutions in the country, with the support of partners from France.
